Among other things I’m an AI researcher interested in mechanical creativity (aura preserving) — more broadly, in the phenomenon of emergence in engineered systems. At Adobe I work directly with artists pushing the boundaries of what's possible with generative AI.

An Artificial Life Anthology (In progress)55,649 words on the history of artificial life, cellular automata, non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, developmental biology, evolutionary computation, complexity, information theory, chaos theory and the origins of order.
Garden of Eden States (In progress)5,207 words on unreachable configurations, irreversibility, the Ax–Grothendieck theorem, Paolo Soleri, McKennan eschatology, and the arrow of time in cellular automata.Projects
